Quinta do Crasto S.A. Gouvinhas 5060-063 Sabrosa Portugal
Der Crasto 2019 Vinho Tinto ist ein Rotwein des Weingutes Quinta do Crasto aus dem portugiesischen Weinanbaugebiet Douro. Dieser kräftige Rote mit 14,00% Alkohol wird aus den Rebsorten Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca und Touriga Nacional vinifiziert.
Der Wine Spectator, in der Ausgabe vom Juni 2013, gab dem Quinta do Crasto 2011 89/100 Punkten und beschrieb ihn folgendermaßen: "Offers an effusive aroma of red fruits, with intense, lively flavors to match, including boysenberry, blueberry and blackberry flanked up by expressive notes of underbrush and spice. The finish shows notes of spice and crushed stone. Drink now through 2017. 20,000 cases made." –KM

"The 2011 Tinto Crasto is a blend of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, 95% aged and fermented in tank with the rest in French oak for 12 months, then recently bottled in October, 2012. This is a timely look for the upcoming release. A nice follow-up to the lovely 2010 Tinto, this is of course younger, more exuberant and fresher, with a richer demeanor – although that to a considerable extent is merely because this is newly bottled and the 2010 has an extra year of age. This is also a bit more “lifted” in the way the fruit is presented, but right at this moment, they seem roughly on par, this bottling having become quite consistent as well as routinely delicious. As noted earlier, I believe that these can hold a bit, but what they do best is be fresh and pure, so this is the one I’d pick at the moment and in the long run it will be a slightly better wine than the 2010. They don’t turn into anything special, though, so don’t hesitate to dive in. It is going to be great this year. Drink now-2020."

"The 2009 Tinto “Crasto,” which used to be the entry level prior to the Flor, is in good form this year. If the big 2009 vintage supercharged the “Superior,” perhaps too much, it added a nice layer of depth here. This is an excellent value point in the lineup this year. Relatively deep and fleshy in this ripe vintage and for its status, it has seductive texture, ripe, well integrated tannins and it’s pretty tasty, too. It is far more restrained than the big “Superior” tinto offering this year, not as deep or as impressive, but also better balanced, more charming and easier to approach. It does thin rapidly with some air, but at that point its fruit also opens up and it is bursting with flavor. For the money, this has a little character, some intensity and it’s quite delicious. It is a nice performance at a nice price, even if nowhere near as concentrated or as dramatic as its “Superior” sibling. It is probably the best regular Tinto since the 2004, maybe since the over achieving 2003. Drink now-2017."
